Church Council
Group of twelve voting members representing the entire membership in matters of Church business. These are elected positions for various terms ranging from one to three years. Interested candidates should seek nomination prior to the annual meeting of the congregation in January.

Council members also serve as Chairpersons on the various Church Committees.

Altar Guild
- Service on this committee includes ensuring that the altar displays the proper colors, candles are kept filled and functioning and communion supplies are continually replenished. This group is also responsible for other supplies needed for particular celebrations, i.e., ashes for Ash Wednesday, Palm for Palm Sunday and enjoys such craft projects as making seasonal banners for display.

Christian Education
- Under the direction of the Pastor and the Sunday school superintendent, this committee plans for the curriculum of our Church school both in the learning and playing capacity. Sunday School teachers and assistants are always needed.

Congregation Life
- This very busy committee handles a good portion of the Church's "social life". They are responsible for such annual happenings as the Lenten Soup Suppers, decorating (and un-decorating) Christmas socials, Advent Hymn & Sing social, among others.

Finance
- This committee works with the Church Treasurer to monitor the planned and unplanned expenses of the Church. Annual budget planning as well as continual assessment of accounting procedures are included in the major functions of this committee.

Property
- This committee is responsible for the upkeep of the Church facility, which is a monumental task. Obviously, this committee can never have to many members. Periodically throughout the year, "Spruce-Up Days" are sponsored by this committee to enlist the help of the entire congregation for such tasks as minor painting, repairs, lawn work, etc.

Stewardship
- This very necessary committee plans, prepares and executes the annual stewardship campaign, which sets the groundwork for the annual budget process. Through the acquisition of annual membership pledges, this committee can assess the financial growth of the Church for the coming year.

Women of Faith
- Though not a committee, this group has many annual outreach, social and spiritual events. Women of Faith means ALL women. They meet the second Tuesday of each month at 7:30 PM. Outreach projects include making trays monthly for Aid for Friends, and sponsoring congregational fundraisers such as the Fall Festival, Penny Party, Pot Pie Sales, food and clothing drives to benefit such organizations as Silver Springs Martin Luther School, L.A.M.P. and Indian Oakes Mission to name a few. Social events include the annual Church/Sunday School picnic, annual Christmas Party, occasional family dinners. Spiritual events include annual "Women’s Day" worship celebration.

Compassionate Care / Health Ministry
- Compassionate Care includes three ministries:
- Lay Eucharistic ministers who assist the pastor by delivering communion to shut-ins.
- Telecare Ministry, which keeps the congregation connected by phone and informed of special events in our church life.
- Health Ministry, which promotes holistic healing in body, mind, and, spirit for the congregation through adult educational forums, prayer, guidance/direction for personal needs and spiritual growth.
